Job Summary

Kingsway Surgery are a large practice of approx. 14,000 patients and we are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our practice for maternity cover working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7hrs a day.

We work out of Crouch Vale Medical Centre in South Woodham Ferrers, we have 2 supportive GP Partners, 4 salaried GPs, 2 ANPs, 1 Nurse Prescriber, 1Prescribing Paramedic, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA and 1 Phlebotomist helping us care for our patients.

They are supported by our Administrative team consisting of 10 receptionists, 2 secretaries, 2 prescription clerks, 2 workflow and scanning clerks, an assistant practice manager and practice manager.

  • Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses.
  • Prescribing medication when required.
  • Completing referrals when required.
  • Requesting blood tests via ICE and following up results with patients.
  • Requesting X-rays MUST have IMER training for X-rays.
  • Requesting USS and following up results with patients.
  • Working within the medicine management prescribing guidelines.
  • Completing Qo F alerts as needed.

We are Systmone surgery using Ardens templates and a total triage system.

Qualifications - Essential

  • Register Advanced Nurse Practitioner with prescribing qualification.
  • Register Paramedic with minor illness experience and prescribing qualification.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check
