Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing various tasks that support production and maintenance activities. This position requires a proactive individual who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We work in metal fabrication, laser cutting and powder coating. the role will require, cutting, grinding, drilling and assembly operations, in a cell and line manufacturing set up.
Duties
- Assist in the daily operations of the facility, including production line support and material handling.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors promptly for resolution.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good physical fitness, as the role may require lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within an industrial setting.
