The Enrichment Officer plays a vital role in supporting the holistic development of students through the Skills Academy programme — the school’s after-school enrichment initiative. This role ensures the programme promotes the school’s ethos and values, fosters creativity, curiosity, teamwork, and leadership, and provides every student with opportunities to learn, grow, and flourish beyond the classroom.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- PEDAGOGY AND CURRICULUM
- Thorough knowledge of the requirements of the English National Curriculum (ENC) with an interest or experience in other curriculum forms (such as the IPC) a benefit.
- Innovative and progressive; welcoming the chance to work with peers and leaders in developing and delivering an outstanding blended Prep curriculum.
- A genuine interest in researching and using the best learning strategies for children of mixed abilities, including academically able students.
- A thoughtful approach to measuring attainment and progress data to inform teaching and learning.
- Ability to define effective measures and record-keeping for the performance of pupils and classes and to keep these measures under systematic review.
- An understanding of computing curriculum and a genuine interest in using technology to enrich teaching and learning across all.
- A collegiate approach, especially with regard to interactions with colleagues and planning, ensuring that all children develop to their full potential.
- Good organisational skills to create and maintain a stimulating and attractive learning environment.
- Use of a range of behaviour management techniques and strategies, adapting them as necessary to promote the self-control and independence of learners.

- Be an ambassador for KSV and The King’s School, Canterbury, both in Phnom Penh and more broadly.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree, PGCE or PGCEi or equivalent, with QTS in any field.
- English (Native language or proficiency).
- Experience in teaching Key Stage 1/Primary/Prep education in the UK or Ireland (state or independent sectors).
- Experience of high standards of KS1/Primary/Prep classroom practice.
- Experience working in multi-cultural or international settings.
- Familiarity with School Management Information Systems and an open mind to the use of data in schools, together with a willingness to learn new systems.
- Confident in Microsoft Office.
- Growth mind-set for continuous professional improvement to meet or exceed expectations.
- Strong ability to embrace change and to work to tight timelines.
- Embrace agency and accountability.
