The role of Research Management Accountant provides an exciting level of variation within the finance setting. Along with provision of management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis you will hold a portfolio of externally funded projects. Within your portfolio you will be responsible for supporting Principal Investigators with every aspect of managing grant expenditure, dealing with a wide range of funders and working closely with pre-award and other teams at Kingston.

Research and Knowledge Exchange activities are expected to grow significantly over the next few years as key elements of The Kingston University Town House Strategy. The successful candidate will be educated to at least ‘A’ level or equivalent standard, qualifications must include GCSE Maths and English (min. Grade C/Level 4), with a first degree being desirable. They should also have accounting experience or be studying for a professional accounting qualification (e.g. AAT).

The ideal candidate will have good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple demands and varying deadlines, following tasks through to completion. They will be able to plan and prioritise workload to meet agreed objectives/deadlines and be able to work independently and use initiative.
