We are seeking a Marketing Adviser (Content) to join our Marketing Team on a full‑time, fixed‑term basis to cover maternity leave for up to one year. The postholder will lead the planning and delivery of compelling, audience‑focused content that supports student recruitment. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong storytelling skills with data‑driven thinking to create content that engages, informs and converts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering content‑led marketing campaigns across the student journey
  • Creating engaging, high‑quality content (copy, digital, and multimedia) tailored to different audiences
  • Managing content calendars and ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging
  • Using audience insights and performance data to optimise campaign effectiveness
  • Collaborating with internal teams to surface authentic stories and experiences
  • Supporting content across key channels including web, social, email and print

You will develop a strong understanding of Kingston University’s brand positioning, target audiences, and recruitment cycles, contributing across marketing, student recruitment and events activities, including occasional event delivery. The wider directorate’s key aim within the strategy is to deliver a seamless, high‑quality experience for all current and future students to ensure they are “sought after”, supporting their participation, attainment, and success before, during and after their time at Kingston. This in turn will create a culture of high performance that is inclusive, innovative, ambitious and enterprising.

Student Recruitment and Admissions

The team’s primary objective is to achieve agreed student recruitment targets and contribute to the whole University’s recruitment and admissions functions ensuring good ROI and a first‑class student experience throughout the applicant journey.

This is a full time, fixed‑term position until 3 August 2027, with a starting salary of £39,407 per annum. This post is available to cover maternity leave and is expected to be held for the full duration. However, should the substantive post‑holder choose to return to work earlier, this appointment may be terminated, subject to a one‑month notice period.
