Lecturer in Forensic Psychology in Kingston upon Thames

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of teaching and research/knowledge exchange in forensic psychology at the heart of a dynamic psychology department with a reputation in developing successful, research-led programmes. The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences combines Kingston Business School and the School of Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences. You will plan, deliver and assess a range of modules across our growing undergraduate and postgraduate BPS accredited forensic psychology programmes. Using a variety of technologies and approaches you will deliver a vibrant education to your students that can be translated into real-world skills and support them in their journey to become critical-thinking professionals. The ability to contribute to teaching and supervision of student research projects in the area of Forensic Psychology is essential. The ability to teach in additional core areas of the BPS curriculum would be an advantage. You will benefit from membership of the Forensic Psychology Research Group, working with colleagues producing high quality internationally excellent research. Due to growth in student numbers on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Forensic Psychology we are seeking one full time permanent lecturer. Constantly seeking to improve, you’ll scrutinise your own work, build private and public sector networks, and work collaboratively to enhance the faculty’s reputation in higher education and occupational circles.

You will hold or have submitted your PhD or doctorate in the field of forensic psychology or hold HCPC registration as a Forensic Psychologist. On a personal level, going above and beyond to deliver exceptional teaching and support to our students will be your core motivation. You will use your experience of working in Psychology to promote integrated professional practice across everything you do, imparting practical knowledge to students that they will take with them in their future careers.
