We are now looking for a reliable, self-motivated Fire Alarm Tester to join our Estates and Asset Department. This is a crucial role responsible for ensuring fire safety systems across multiple University sites are tested, maintained and compliant, helping to keep staff, students and visitors safe every day.
About the Fire Alarm Tester Role
Working across four campus sites, halls of residence and additional buildings within the local area, you will carry out a structured programme of fire safety testing and checks. You'll be responsible for testing over 50 fire alarm systems weekly, along with other fire protection systems, and completing routine fire door inspections. This is a practical, site-based role that requires attention to detail, good organisation, and the ability to work independently.
