Kingston University London is seeking to appoint an Estates Project Manager to lead and deliver capital projects on the Kingston University Estate. This is an important role within the Estates and Sustainability Team, focused on delivering the University’s ambitious sustainability goals through operational excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
With a background in construction project management, you will be responsible for delivery from inception to completion of a varied portfolio of university-wide projects that will include construction, building infrastructure, building services, and energy management projects. Most projects will involve the refurbishment of existing university space. You will work on the Estates processes for project management and document control, for which direction will be provided.
The candidate needs to have an education to degree level in building construction/building services/project management discipline or relevant experience in the built environment. Membership or working towards a membership of a construction-related professional body in the UK, knowledge of current UK building construction, proficiency in using MS Office software, and familiarity with environmental sustainability are essential for this role. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project is considered desirable.
The successful candidate will be a confident and experienced estates project manager who has delivered positive change in the estate of a higher education or similar organisation. They will possess strong project management, communication, and organisational skills, and be able to work collaboratively while delivering tangible improvements across a complex and evolving estate. Estates & Sustainability sits within the Finance, Infrastructure and HR Directorate and exists to support Kingston University’s academic mission and the goals set out in its strategic plan. It leads on strategic planning, capital development, space management, operational sustainability, energy management, and biodiversity management, as well as statutory compliance and operation of the campuses and premises used by the university.
This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £45,025 per annum. Interviews are expected to be held on 22 July 2026.
