We are recruiting for a Production Planner to join a leading manufacturing business based in Bridlington, East Yorkshire. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will play a key role in co-ordinating production schedules, ensuring efficient workflow, and meeting customer demands in a fast-paced environment. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Purchasing, you'll contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, co-ordinate, and prioritise production workflows across multiple product lines
  • Manage daily planning for key production areas, ensuring efficiency and minimal delays
  • Monitor production progress, resolving issues to maintain output and deadlines
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure materials, staffing, and equipment are aligned with demand
  • Maintain and update production plans, reporting on performance, output, and KPIs
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality
  • Review and maintain BOM accuracy and support planning-related project work
  • Produce regular reports for senior management on performance, issues, and improvements

The Candidate

  • Proven experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced setting
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels
  • Proficient in systems such as MS Excel and ERP platforms
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing tight deadlines
