On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a highly organised and proactive Operations Planning Assistant to support the Operations Director within a busy and fast-moving environment. This role will be 25-30 hours per week. This is a varied role with key responsibility for assisting in the coordination of transport and logistics, while also providing administrative support on Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) matters. The successful candidate will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations through effective communication, data handling, and cross-departmental support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Operations Director
- Coordinate and monitor transport and logistics activities
- Maintain HSE records, assist with compliance documentation and audit preparation
- Assist in developing and updating operational plans and schedules
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery
- Prepare reports and documentation for meetings and reviews
- Analyse operational data to highlight trends and improvement areas
- Support with general operational administration as required
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in logistics/transport administration (desirable)
- Understanding of HSE requirements and documentation (desirable)
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Clear communicator with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
