We are working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Mechanically biased Multi Skilled Technician to join their engineering team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a key role focused on ensuring the reliability and performance of plant and equipment across the site. This position would suit a hands-on, proactive engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to both planned maintenance and reactive breakdown support.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical and some electrical maintenance to minimise downtime across all plant and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and support breakdown investigations and repairs.
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and refurbishment of machinery.
- Set up and maintain plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Accurately record maintenance activities, time, and materials using CMMS.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to source parts and support fault finding.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations.
