Are you an experienced people manager with a background in finance, accounts, banking, tax or professional services?

Our client is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee a specialist client services team responsible for supporting international clients with their ongoing accounting requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader who enjoys coaching and developing people, improving processes and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Whilst experience within VAT or taxation would be advantageous, it is by no means essential.

Full training will be provided, together with the opportunity to study towards a globally recognised qualification, fully funded by the company, making this an outstanding long term career opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team responsible for managing client activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of international clients, delivering a professional and responsive service.
  • Oversee client onboarding, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Manage team workloads, priorities and performance to ensure service levels and deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train and mentor new team members, creating a positive and high performing culture.
  • Handle escalated client queries and work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues effectively.
  • Ensure compliance procedures are followed accurately and consistently.
  • Work closely with senior management to support the continued growth and development of the department.

The Candidate The successful candidate will be an approachable and commercially minded leader who enjoys working with both people and clients.

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to motivate others and build lasting relationships.

You will ideally have: Previous management or supervisory experience within finance, banking, tax, accounting or another professional services environment.

Strong leadership and people management skills with experience of coaching and developing teams.

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

A customer-focused approach with the confidence to manage client expectations.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.

Experience of managing performance, workloads and service standards.

A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
