As part of their succession planning, they’re looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to work closely with the Head of Accounts and grow into a senior role over time. What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full accounts function, building the skills and confidence to progress your career:
  • Taking ownership of the purchase and sales ledger
  • Chasing outstanding payments and managing credit control
  • Posting transactions to the nominal ledger
  • Preparing accounts up to trial balance
  • Supporting the production of monthly management accounts
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Getting involved in a variety of other finance duties as your role grows

About you:

  • You’ll already have some solid experience in an accounting role and be keen to take the next step. This would suit someone who’s motivated, career-focused, and excited by the idea of progression.
  • Experience working in accounts, ideally up to trial balance
  • Studying AAT (or planning to start) with full study support provided
  • Confident using Sage
  • Eager to build a long-term career in finance
