Overview
Our client, a well established and highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants in Hull, is looking to recruit an Audit Senior to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional practice.
Working with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and corporate clients across a range of sectors, you will take responsibility for leading audit assignments from planning through to completion whilst building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a varied client portfolio.
- Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with UK accounting standards.
- Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance, mentoring and technical support.
- Liaise directly with clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Identify opportunities to improve client processes and provide practical recommendations.
- Assist managers and partners with the delivery of audit and accounts services.
- Ensure assignments are completed within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Keep up to date with changes in accounting, auditing and regulatory standards.
- The Candidate
- Be ICAEW fully or part qualified (or equivalent).
- Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice in an audit-focused role.
- Possess a sound knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
- Be confident managing audit assignments and working directly with clients.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Be proactive, professional and committed to delivering an excellent client service.
- On Offer
This is a full-time, permanent position working 9am to 530pm, Monday to Friday, with a one hour for lunch.
The role is predominantly office-based, with the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis from home 1 to 2 days per week
Competitive salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
