We are recruiting for an experienced and proactive Sales Administration Manager to oversee the company’s sales order and customer service functions. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the full sales order lifecycle, warranty and remedial processes, and driving operational improvements across the business. Working closely with Production, Planning, and wider management teams, you will ensure customer requirements are delivered efficiently while continually improving processes, performance, and service standards. This opportunity would suit a resilient and commercially aware people manager who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end sales order process
- Oversee inbound enquiries, quotations, order placement, and associated documentation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Ensure accurate and efficient communication between customer service, production, and planning teams
- Manage customer warranty and remedial requests to ensure timely resolution
- Plan and coordinate the activities of the warranty team
- Drive customer-focused solutions and service excellence across the department
- Investigate and implement cost-saving initiatives through improved systems and efficiencies
- Support reduction of production errors, remakes, downtime, and waste
- Develop and review KPI reports to measure company and supplier performance
- Monitor team performance and effectiveness of training programmes
- Conduct annual performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and support
- Previous experience managing sales order processing, customer service, or operational support functions within a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with KPI reporting and performance management
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Confident problem-solver with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- IT literate with experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office packages
- Commercial awareness with a continuous improvement mindset
