Our client is a well-established and highly regarded organisation within the construction sector, experiencing sustained growth and an expanding project portfolio. As part of their continued development, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their team.
Based from their East Yorkshire Head Office, the successful candidate will bring a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience and the confidence to commercially manage and represent the business across major projects throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Working in close collaboration with Project Managers and Site Managers to monitor project progress, identify commercial risks, and resolve site-based issues through regular site visits
- Preparing, issuing, and administering subcontractor work packages, including variations and contractual amendments
- Undertaking site measurements and valuations of subcontractor works in line with project specifications and contractual agreements
- Assessing, certifying, and approving subcontractor payment applications
- Attending project and commercial review meetings, providing accurate updates to senior management on cost performance and project status
- Producing regular cost reports, forecasts, and financial updates to reflect the commercial position of live projects
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
- 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of commercial reporting, cost control, and contract administration
- Willingness to travel to project sites nationwide as required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
- 25 days’ annual leave plus statutory bank holidays
