We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Part Time Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract from their offices in East Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional who enjoys working in a varied role, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of a busy business.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger, matching purchase orders and goods received notes
- Prepare supplier payment runs
- Process and verify payroll
- Assist with monthly management accounts and budget preparation
- Prepare and process financial documentation, including purchase orders, invoices and bank transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts and investigate any discrepancies
- Produce weekly reports relating to ongoing project costs
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have previous experience in an accounts role and be confident working with purchase ledger, reconciliations and payroll. You will possess:
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge, including VAT
- Experience using Sage accounting software
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
