We are working with a well‑established manufacturing business to recruit a Mechanically biased Multi Skilled Technician to join their engineering team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a key role focused on ensuring the reliability and performance of plant and equipment across the site. This position would suit a hands‑on, proactive engineer who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, contributing to both planned maintenance and reactive breakdown support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical and some electrical maintenance to minimise downtime across all plant and equipment
  • Diagnose faults and support breakdown investigations and repairs
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and refurbishment of machinery
  • Set up and maintain plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machinery
  • Accurately record maintenance activities, time, and materials using CMMS
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to source parts and support fault finding
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations
