This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established freight forwarding business that offers a down-to-earth working environment within a dedicated and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring freight consignments are accurately processed and communicated throughout the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support within a busy freight forwarding office
- Accurately inputting and updating consignment details using a bespoke operating system
- Ensuring shipment information is entered correctly and efficiently
- Using initiative and a common-sense approach to identify and rectify potential errors or discrepancies
- Liaising with clients, carriers and logistics providers via telephone and email
- Providing shipment updates and responding to customer enquiries
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of freight movements
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider operations team
- Ensuring all documentation and information are processed in a timely manner
Skills & Experience
- Previous administration experience, ideally within logistics, freight, transport or a fast-paced office environment
- Excellent data entry and data handling skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
