Kingston Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Freight Administrator on behalf of our client based in North Hull. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established freight forwarding business that offers a down-to-earth working environment within a dedicated and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring freight consignments are accurately processed and communicated throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support within a busy freight forwarding office
  • Accurately inputting and updating consignment details using a bespoke operating system
  • Ensuring shipment information is entered correctly and efficiently
  • Using initiative and a common-sense approach to identify and rectify potential errors or discrepancies
  • Liaising with clients, carriers and logistics providers via telephone and email
  • Providing shipment updates and responding to customer enquiries
  • Assisting with the planning and coordination of freight movements
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider operations team
  • Ensuring all documentation and information are processed in a timely manner

Skills & Experience

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within logistics, freight, transport or a fast-paced office environment
  • Excellent data entry and data handling skills
