On behalf of our client, due to continued growth within their Facilities Management division, Kingston Recruitment are currently looking to source an experienced and reliable Electrician to join a busy and expanding team. This is a varied field‑based role supporting a range of commercial and domestic clients across the region. The successful candidate will be provided with their own company van and fuel card for work purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance work
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults within commercial and domestic properties
- Complete installations, rewiring, testing, and upgrades in line with current regulations
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and fault finding
- Fire alarm and emergency lighting testing
- Complete EICR and EIC certification
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with Health & Safety regulations
- Order and assess parts required for repairs and maintenance
- Provide professional advice and excellent customer service to clients
- Work independently or as part of a wider maintenance team
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- Previous experience within commercial and/or facilities maintenance environments
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with NICEIC standards desirable
Additional Information
- Overtime paid at 1.5×
- Night work paid at 1.33×
- Sunday work paid at 2.0×
- Occasional weekend and night work required
