On behalf of our client, a specialist and market leader in their field, Kingston Recruitment are recruiting a BOM Administrator to join the team on a 6m FTC initially, with potential to lead to a permanent contract. This is a key role supporting production and project delivery through the accurate creation, maintenance, and control of Bill of Materials (BOM) data and material information. Working closely with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, you will play an integral part in ensuring data integrity, supporting production planning, and helping to drive on‑time delivery.

THE ROLE

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all BOM and material‑related queries
  • Creating and maintaining part codes, BOM structures, and sub‑assemblies within the ERP system
  • Ensuring all associated documentation and system data is accurate and up to date
  • Releasing shop orders in line with weekly production forecasts
  • Monitoring material availability and liaising with internal teams to resolve shortages and delivery risks
  • Supporting data integrity through general system housekeeping
  • Attending and contributing to production and project meetings
  • Building strong working relationships across design, factory, and supply chain teams

THE CANDIDATE

  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
  • Experience working with BOMs, material scheduling, or similar data‑driven roles is desirable
  • Ability to interpret construction or manufacturing drawings and quantify materials (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • A proactive, positive, and team‑oriented approach
