This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated aspiring Chief Technician with a passion for digital healthcare, who is looking to take their next career step. We are looking for a Senior Pharmacy Technician with experience of EPMA systems, who has a demonstrable track record of excellent service delivery with good communication and organisational skills. You will join our established Pharmacy Digital and Informatics team and work together to improve patient safety and optimise system medication pathways. This is an ideal opportunity for a pharmacy technician with an interest in digital healthcare to further develop specialist skills in clinical EPMA systems, informatics and digital transformation, within a supportive team environment.

You will be expected to participate in the weekend, bank holiday and late duty rotas.

Responsibilities
  • Help maintain and optimise the Trust Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) systems as an integral member of the Pharmacy Digital Team.
  • Provide expert training and support to multidisciplinary staff using the Trust Oracle Cerner Millenium EPMA system.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement system changes to promote safe prescribing in line with Trust clinical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the wider Trust Digital Teams on projects, system upgrades and configuration and regression testing.
  • Design, build and implement prescribing protocols, order sets and clinical decision support tools in line with Trust guidelines.
  • Contribute to medication safety initiatives through system design, audit and continuous quality improvement.
