The post holder will assist in the delivery of high‑quality Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) services throughout the Trust. Working alongside other clinical colleagues to provide expert care, treatment and support for this patient group. The post holder will contribute to advancing the body of knowledge through education, research and audit as well as developing practice. They will play a key role within the multidisciplinary team in order to ensure a seamless, coordinated and timely approach to care.

The post holder will be responsible for inpatient and out‑patient assessment, education and clinical management for patients with IBD under the care of Kingston Hospital. The role is suitable for an experienced clinical Nurse, ideally with relevant experience in IBD/Gastroenterology, who will be working as part of a Gastroenterology Team working with the IBD Consultants. It provides the opportunity to further develop communication, teaching and clinical skills within the specialty.

The post holder will be expected to develop Nurse‑Led clinics, Adviceline services, biological medication management, monitoring and maintaining databases for drug monitoring purposes, give advice and implement patient care in an area which requires specific clinical knowledge, skills and experience. The post holder will also act as a mentor to junior staff members.
