We are seeking to appoint a well‑qualified individual to join our teaching staff as a Class Teacher in Key Stage Two for one year whilst a member of staff is on maternity leave. Brentwood Prep School is an academically selective HMC co‑educational independent school with small class sizes.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English and mathematics to Key Stage Two pupils.
- Teach additional subjects such as science, design technology (including food), and Spanish where required.
- Deliver excellent pastoral care and develop individual knowledge of each pupil.
- Plan and deliver curriculum in line with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme framework.
- Collaborate with the pedagogical leadership team to support teaching practice and curriculum design.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (or equivalent) and a relevant degree.
- Prior experience teaching Key Stage Two learners is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge in core subjects and willingness to extend to other subjects.
- Ability to support and promote pastoral care for pupils.
