Our client is a dynamic software organisation with an already established and highly successful global business. The company has gone through significant growth/transformation which has included acquisitions and continued development of new areas across its global business.
As part of strategic growth and development, we are now recruiting an experienced Legal Counsel for an exciting, expanding area of the business. This is a critical role as the company continues to build and it will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements with enterprise customers. You will play a crucial role in enabling revenue while protecting the company’s legal and commercial interests in the fast-paced world of SaaS.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, and Product teams to support the deal cycle and ensure contracts align with business objectives.
- Serve as the primary legal contact for enterprise-level customer negotiations, including those involving Fortune 500 clients.
- Advise internal stakeholders on best practices throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Assist in building scalable legal processes and tools to support a growing, global SaaS business.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of legal experience, with at least 3 years focused on commercial contracts in the SaaS or broader technology sector.
- In-house experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS company is ideal.
- Experience working closely with sales teams.
- Proven track record negotiating high-value, complex contracts with enterprise customers.
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, cloud contracting terms, and related risk areas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal concepts into business-friendly language.
