Our client is a global software organisation, already recognised as a market leader, and set for exciting growth. Its software is used by some of the world’s largest companies and it delivers award-winning, industry-changing solutions.

As part of exciting growth plans, we are recruiting a Legal Counsel to support go-to-market teams, including structuring, drafting, negotiating, and closing SaaS, software, support and cloud contracts with customers, while collaborating cross functionally with other parts of the global organisation. You will be joining a winning team and you'll need to enjoy thriving in a very fast-paced environment in a dynamic, high-growth, AI-first, enterprise SaaS company.

  • Structure, draft, negotiate, and close SaaS, software, support and cloud contracts.
  • Lead the negotiation of master agreements, NDAs, SOWs, and tender responses.
  • Develop and refine playbooks and corporate standards and ensure governance of contractual terms against those.
  • Champion AI advancement in the legal team and across the business.
  • Provide accurate, pragmatic, and timely legal advice across a range of commercial and operational matters.
  • Dive into other ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed, including using the Legal AI tools and working with other teams.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with 4+ years post qualification experience.
  • In-house SaaS experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience delivering on a wide range of complex commercial contracts and demonstrable ability to independently handle complex negotiations.
  • Proactive, “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.
  • Highest degree of professional ethics and integrity, with demonstrable confidence when providing legal advice.
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills – this is an extremely fast paced company with same-day response expected.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
