The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is now seeking a Vocational Skills Assessor to facilitate the effective and efficient practical and online assessment of learners and the development of their commercial, employability and enterprise skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess learners across a variety of programmes (Level 1, 2, 3 in Beauty Therapy, Customer Service & WorkSkills) and provide prompt and constructive feedback.
- Maintain a strong client base in the Commercial salons, ensuring income targets are met.
- Conduct assessments in the college salons and other practical areas, maintaining a professional, safe and secure environment.
- Support, motivate and empathise with young learners, monitoring their progress.
Qualifications
- Professional qualifications with a reputable awarding body; recognised TDLB Assessor Awards (D32, D33) or TDLB new A1 Award for Assessors and hold an IV Award.
- Recent experience within the beauty therapy industry (through CPD or recent salon experience) and qualified to at least Level 3 in Beauty Therapy.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrable patience.
- Good IT skills or willingness to gain these.
