The Creative Industries School at Kingston College offers a range of courses from level 1 to level 4, including Art and Design, Media, Music, and Performing Arts. The School primarily serves full-time 16-19 Study Programmes, but also provides Access Diplomas, Higher Education courses, and recently expanded into part-time Adult Education courses. It aims to further serve the local community by making specialist resources available for hire.
Role: Team Leader Art & Design
As a member of the School\’s Management Group (SMG), you will be responsible for curriculum standards and outcomes across various programmes. Your duties include organizing and coordinating delivery teams, contributing to the School’s Quality Self-assessment and Improvement plans, and ensuring targets for recruitment, retention, achievement, success, progression, and student satisfaction are met or exceeded.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree or higher in a relevant art & design specialism and/or equivalent professional qualification.
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Excellent teaching skills in art & design, recognized as good or outstanding.
- Strong commitment to equality, diversity, safeguarding, personalized learning, and educational excellence.
- Experience in leading curriculum programmes and supporting staff development.
- Knowledge of curriculum changes and their impact on teaching strategies.
- Understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes.
- Experience supporting at-risk learners to achieve their potential.
- Receptive to new ideas with a creative approach to problem solving.
Additional Information
The successful candidate will be eligible for salary increases based on the annual cost of living review in the upcoming academic year.
