The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is looking to appoint a Lecturer to teach courses across a range of levels and to be a personal tutor on the Sport courses. This post will sit within the Sport curriculum area with teaching across a wide range of levels including but not limited to: BTEC, NCFE, Levels 2 & 3.
The courses are predominantly coursework-based with exam components therefore we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging coursework and assessment tasks that inspire learners to achieve their full potential. Following our agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures are an essential component of this work to ensure that students meet and exceed their target grades. The post will also be involved in internal verification activities and organising and taking part in external verification.
As our Lecturer, we would like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have excellent teaching skills and substantial relevant teaching experience on BTEC and/or NCFE programmes. You will have an awareness of academic quality standards, participated in recent and relevant CPD and have energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education.
With high personal standards and expectations, you will be able to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning and be receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem solving. You will have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills with good attention to detail and able to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year. Closing date for the return of completed applications is 24th April 2026.
