Job Description

The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is seeking a Sessional Lecturer to teach on a variety of courses and levels across the curriculum area, including but not limited to: BTEC, NCFE, Levels 1, 2, 3.This could include Travel & Tourism units, hospitality units and aviation/cabin crew units.

The courses are predominantly coursework based and therefore we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging coursework assignments that inspire learners. Directed pathways vocational course offers students an opportunity to explore pathways of their interest: Health and Social Care, Sport, Hair, Beauty, Barbering and Travel and Tourism. The post will also be involved in internal verification activities and organise and take part in external verification.

We would like you to hold a degree or professional qualification in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education. You will have excellent teaching skills and substantial relevant teaching experience on BTEC and/or NCFE programmes with links to the industry, relevant external agencies and validating bodies with an awareness of academic quality standards.

With high personal standards and expectations and the ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress, you will have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills, with good attention to detail.
