The School of Creative Industries at Kingston College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Technician/Instructor in Media. You will support teaching and learning by assisting with classes, delivering your own practical timetabled sessions and demonstrations, while also providing technical guidance to students and staff.

You will support productions, conferences and events for the College and external groups, ensuring users can operate equipment safely and effectively while adhering to health and safety and security issues. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and servicing equipment and facilities, as well as preparing materials to support teaching and learning activities. The role also includes carrying out minor repairs and helping to ensure that all technical equipment remains in good working order.

We are looking for an individual with strong IT and AV skills, together with a solid working knowledge of machinery and equipment used in TV and sound studios, as well as editing facilities. You will have a sound technical understanding of media production environments and be confident in identifying and assessing risks and hazards within your specialist area.

A collaborative team player, you will work effectively with both staff and students. You will be adaptable, flexible and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment undergoing change and development. You will also be able to perform well under pressure while meeting agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year. Closing date for the return of completed applications is 28th June 2026.
