Role Overview

Permanent, Part Time (0.8). Please note that this post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2026.

The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is looking to appoint a Lecturer to teach courses across a range of levels and to act as a personal tutor on Sport courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses at BTEC, NCFE, Levels 2 & 3 and act as a personal tutor for Sport courses.
  • Design engaging coursework and assessment tasks for predominantly coursework‑based courses with exam components, ensuring students meet and exceed target grades.
  • Facilitate internal verification activities and participate in external verification processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold a degree or a relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject.
  • Hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
  • Have substantial teaching experience on BTEC and/or NCFE programmes.
  • Have an awareness of academic quality standards, recent CPD participation, and a passion for teaching.

  • Demonstrate strong planning, preparation, organisational, and administrative skills with attention to detail.
