The Creative Industries School at Kingston College is seeking a passionate and industry-savvy Media Lecturer to join their team. You will deliver engaging and practical vocational content on a range of courses and levels. This role requires a dynamic, proactive and experienced educator who is highly organised and committed to both academic and pastoral support for students.

You will deliver exciting and industry-relevant teaching, supporting students in developing higher-level skills and understanding of past, present, and future trends in Creative Media. You will be able to utilise a range of media production techniques, with knowledge in some or all of the following: radio, podcasting, audio, journalism and print, film and TV broadcasting, social and online media, visual effects, motion capture, and animation; production management.

You will have strong digital skills and be able to use relevant software, particularly the Adobe Suite including After Effects, Premiere and audio software. As our Lecturer, we would like you to hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards) and be recognised as a good or outstanding teacher. You will hold a degree or higher qualification, or an equivalent professional qualification, in a subject area relevant to Creative Media.

You will bring experience of successfully monitoring and supporting at-risk learners, helping them to achieve or exceed their potential, alongside a strong understanding of what constitutes excellent evidence-based teaching, learning and assessment. The role also requires strong industry knowledge to support meaningful work experience and industry placements, which form an integral part of our Study Programme offer.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year. Closing date for the return of completed applications is 12th May 2026.

The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 40 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees' physical and mental health. There is an excellent pension scheme that receives a significant financial contribution from the employer (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities and professional development and training plus a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme. The benefits package is pro-rated for part-time staff.
