Overview
The post is onsite at Kingston College. This post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards, so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2026. The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is looking to appoint a Lecturer to teach courses across a range of levels and be a personal tutor on the Health & Social Care courses. This post will sit within the Health & Social Care curriculum area with teaching across a wide range of levels including Level 2 & 3 BTEC’s, T-Level and Level 4 and 5 HNC/D. You may also be expected to teach on Sport and Uniformed Services.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses across a range of levels (Level 2 & 3 BTEC, T-Level, Level 4 and 5 HNC/D) and potentially in Sport and Uniformed Services.
- Design engaging coursework assignments using a variety of assessment methods to inspire learners.
- Follow agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures to ensure learners meet and exceed target grades.
- Engage in internal verification activities and participate in external verification processes.
- Act as a personal tutor for Health & Social Care students.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a degree or relevant professional qualifications in Health & Social Care.
- Hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).
- Demonstrate excellent teaching skills in Health & Social Care programmes.
- Have relevant industry experience in Health & Social Care and awareness of academic quality standards.
- Engage in recent and relevant continuing professional development.
- Demonstrate energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education, with the ability to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
- Be receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem solving, and possess strong planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
