Overview
Please note that this post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2026.
Responsibilities
You will follow our agreed schemes of work and assessment schedules, and you will be expected to set a minimum of one piece of marked work each class every week recorded on Pro‑Monitor. You will prepare students for June exams, mark homework and mock exams, conduct student monitoring, and where appropriate, support curriculum development.
Qualifications
You will hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one), and have excellent teaching skills in GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics for students aged 16‑19 years. You should possess energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the subject, be able to support, motivate and empathise with learners, monitor their progress, and use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning. You should also have strong planning, preparation, organisation and administrative skills, with great attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines.

Salary
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost‑of‑living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
