The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is seeking a Sessional Lecturer with expertise in Aviation Operations and Travel & Tourism industry. The courses are predominantly coursework based and therefore we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging coursework assignments that inspire learners. Following our agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures are an essential component of this work.
Undertake assessment, internal quality assurance and standardisation activities in line with awarding body requirements and support external quality assurance processes as required. We would like you to hold a degree or professional qualification in Travel & Tourism, Tourism Management, Aviation Management or a closely related discipline, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards) and have energy, enthusiasm and passion for the subject and education.
You will have excellent teaching skills and substantial relevant teaching experience on A-level, BTEC and/or NCFE programmes with links to the industry, relevant external agencies and validating bodies with an awareness of academic quality standards. With high personal standards and expectations and the ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress, you will have good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills, with good attention to detail.
