The post is onsite at Kingston College. The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is looking to appoint a Lecturer to teach courses across a range of levels and act as a personal tutor on the Health & Social Care courses. The successful candidate will commence in post from August 2026 in line with the 2026/27 academic year funding.
Responsibilities
- Teach Health & Social Care curriculum covering Level 2 & 3 BTEC’s, T-Level, Level 4 and 5 HNC/D, and may also deliver courses in Sport and Uniformed Services.
- Design engaging coursework assignments and assessment methods that inspire learners.
- Implement agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures to ensure students meet and exceed target grades.
- Participate in internal verification activities and support external verification processes.
- Use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning, and contribute to continuous professional development initiatives.
- Maintain high administrative standards, including planning, preparation and meeting deadlines under pressure.
Qualifications
- Hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in a Health & Social Care subject.
- Hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).
- Have excellent teaching skills and relevant industry experience in Health & Social Care.
- Be familiar with academic quality standards and have participated in recent continuous professional development.
- Demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, and a creative approach to problem solving.
- Possess good planning, preparation, organisational, and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
