Base pay range

This range is provided by Kingston College. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st line and 2nd line ICT support to all employees and supported clients, addressing day‑to‑day escalations and investigating complex problems or repeat failures.
  • Ensure accurate call logging and efficient resolution using the Helpdesk Management System, and liaise with the Senior Support Technician on software or network issues.
  • Maintain the smooth and efficient operation of end‑user computer equipment, including desktops, mobile devices, audio‑visual equipment, printers and scanners.
  • Install, configure and support client‑based hardware and software within agreed timescales.
  • Travel to all South Thames Colleges Group (STCG) sites to provide on‑site support.

Qualifications

  • Detailed experience with Microsoft Office, and experience in computer hardware/software installation, audio‑visual technology and printer technology.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing issues in a PC/MAC environment and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results‑focused with a positive “can‑do” attitude, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to build credibility with managers and understand business needs.
  • Desirable knowledge of network technology such as routers and switches, network topologies and services, and Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Professional references, satisfactory DBS check (enhanced), online search and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
