The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College are now seeking a dynamic individual to enhance the curriculum area of Beauty Therapy. As our Lecturer, you’ll teach courses across a range of units from levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 and be a personal tutor. Predominantly coursework based, we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging coursework assignments that inspire learners.
Following our agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures are an essential component of this work. You’ll also be involved in internal verification activities and organise and take part in external verification.
We’re looking for someone who holds a Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy and has recent industrial experience including skin needling, peeling, reflexology and make-up. With excellent teaching and demonstration skills, you’ll hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards) and have awareness of academic quality standards.
Able to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines, receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem solving, you’ll be able to support, motivate and empathise with young learners, including monitoring their progress. This post could include some evening work.
The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 40 days plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees’ physical and mental health.
