Wellbeing Assistant – 3 months Max Term Contract – Part Time (32 Hours per week)

Location: Cheltenham Manor (Now Proudly Part of Medical & Aged Care Group – MACG)

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging wellbeing and lifestyle programs that support our residents’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs. Whether it’s a group activity, a one-on-one conversation, or a special event, you’ll help create experiences that truly matter.

You’ll be working as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, with the opportunity to bring fresh ideas to life in a workplace that values innovation and individuality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead meaningful recreational and social activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
  • Foster a sense of belonging and inclusion through community and cultural engagement
  • Support individual wellbeing through emotional, spiritual, and one-on-one support
  • Collaborate with families, staff, and external partners to enhance resident experience
  • Assist in the development and review of individual wellbeing care plans
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and resident satisfaction

We’re seeking someone who is:

  • Positive, self-motivated, and organised
  • A natural communicator with empathy and a genuine love for working with people
  • Creative in finding new ways to connect, engage, and inspire
  • Committed to providing person-centred care with professionalism and heart

Qualifications & Experience

Preferred but not essential — we value the right attitude above all:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or Allied Health Assistance
  • Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and continuous improvement principles
  • Experience in a residential aged care or wellbeing/lifestyle role
  • Current Police Check and working rights in Australia
