We are currently seeking a hands-on Payroll Officer at For Purpose Aged Care, Cheltenham VIC, to assist with the coordination of our payroll function.
The Payroll Officer is responsible for providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll services for all employees. With a focus on compliance, the role will ensure that all operational aspects of payroll processing and associated functions are accurate and delivered within appropriate time frames and are in line with relevant legislations, policies and agreements.
What will this role involve?
- Preparing, processing and distributing salaries in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensuring wages are processed in line with Awards and submitted within the timelines of the business
- Setting up staff on the payroll system
- Supporting the wider HR teams with data and reporting activities
- Assisting in maintaining master roster for the Operations teams
- Providing excellent customer service by professionally and timely responding to payroll queries, ensuring internal customer service levels are maintained at exceptionally high standards
What do I need to apply?
- Experience in a similar role within a busy environment
- Experience with rostering and aged care
- Current knowledge with payroll legislative requirements and statutory legislation
- High levels of attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve
- Experience with Inerva payroll system and understanding modern Awards is highly desirable
