About the Role

Join our team as an Occupational Therapist Grade 2 – Community, based at Monash Health – Kingston Centre, on a full time, fixed term basis from 21 July until 31 October inclusive. As part of this role, you may be required to work across multiple Monash Health sites, in line with your defined scope of practice.

Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support clients to reach their functional goals, your case load will include adult clients in the community across a variety of clinical streams, including (but not limited to) neurological, musculoskeletal, general, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Deliver high-quality client assessments, treatments, and service coordination to ensure person-centred care in a community rehabilitation setting
  • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to optimize client care and outcomes, while liaising with relevant hospital and community-based services
  • Lead initiatives to challenge traditional care models and expand Occupational Therapy practices for efficient clinical outcomes
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervise junior staff and students, and manage administrative responsibilities as directed by senior staff

About You

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Experience as a Grade 1 or a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist

Mandatory requirements of the role:

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with no restrictions.
  • Member of Occupational Therapy Australia, including involvement in Special Interest groups
  • Relevant professional experience working with adults in a rehabilitation or community setting
  • Current Drivers Licence
