Join Our Team as an Early Years Coordinator!

Our Parkdale Family and Children’s Centre, rated Exceeding against the National Quality Standard, is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to work alongside the Senior Coordinator in overseeing our large service, ensuring compliance, effective rostering, and smooth daily operations.

The role

This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering high-quality service. You will provide leadership, oversee daily operations, ensure compliance, and engage with both families and the wider community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with the Senior Coordinator, Educational Leader, and wider team to provide strong, supportive leadership.

  • Service Delivery: Manage daily operations, including staff rostering and ratios, health management plans, and OHS risk management.

  • Staff Recruitment and Development: Participate in staff recruitment, induction of new team members, and ongoing professional development and training.
  • Policies and Procedures: Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including implementing and monitoring policies, procedures, and actively participating in the review and improvement of service policies.

  • Client and Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with families, community members, and key stakeholders to promote the service and support its ongoing growth and reputation.

About you:

Qualifications and Experience

The following qualifications and experience are required for the position:

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) Preferred or Diploma of Children’s Services.
  • Minimum five years’ experience working in Early Years Education and Care settings.
  • Experience as a Centre Director, Educational Leader or 2IC
  • Valid right to work in Australia
  • Undertake and maintain a Current National Criminal Records Check
  • Driver\’s License valid in Victoria
  • First Aid, CPR and Management of Anaphylaxis Certificates
