Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Full Time Assistant Manager to join the PLG team at The Epsom in Mordialloc. Your management skills will be used in supporting the achievement of set financial targets, leading and inspiring the team, co-creating the best experiences for our clients and ensuring compliance with all external bodies.

The Epsom offers a welcoming ambiance with a touch of vintage charm. Offering premium food and beverage selection, including elevated pub classics, craft beers, and handpicked wines, it’s a destination where everyone feels at home—from all-day visitors to late-night guests. What will my duties include?

  • Assisting with the achievement of set financial targets.
  • Stock control and management.
  • Ensure front-of-house ambiance and appearance are appropriate at all times.
  • Staff management including; rostering, training, and performance management.
  • Coordination, execution, and evaluation of promotions.
  • Manage venue auditing and compliance requirements.

The role you are applying for may be quite fast-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilising stairs.

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience in hospitality management.
  • Current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA).
  • Current Victorian Responsible Service of Gambling Certificate (RSG).
  • Current Victorian Gaming Employee Licence.
  • Food Handlers Certificate.
  • TAB Compliance.
  • Energetic and positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast paced and agile environment.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
