About this opportunity
We’re seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice – Horticulture to kickstart a career in horticulture and open space maintenance. Applicants part way through their Horticulture apprenticeship are also welcome to apply and will be given full consideration

As an Apprentice, you will:
- Assist in maintaining parks, gardens, and streetscapes through planting, pruning, mulching, and general upkeep
- Operate a variety of tools and machinery while following safety protocols
- Support the delivery of community events and programs related to open spaces
- Gain hands-on experience and mentorship from our expert team
- Attend scheduled tertiary training at a registered training organisation
Use a combination of tertiary and hands-on skills to gain your Certificate III in Horticulture
This is an exceptional opportunity to develop practical skills, earn a nationally recognised qualification, and cultivate your passion for creating stunning green environments.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Previous horticultural or landscape experience and / or completion of a pre-apprenticeship or Horticultural course is desirable.
- Ability to collaborate as a supportive and proactive team player with effective collaboration skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work well with colleagues
- Basic computer literacy
- Current employee Working with Children Check
- Current Victorian drivers license
