Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and caring Personal Assistant to support a gentleman with his daily routine and help him maintain his independence and enjoy everyday life. The role is for 18 hours per week, with one hour each morning and one hour each evening at set times every day. The remaining four hours are flexible and can be arranged between the Personal Assistant and the service user to suit their needs and plans. The main responsibilities include making sure medication is taken as required, encouraging regular meals and ensuring he eats and drinks enough throughout the day. The role will also involve providing companionship, going on outings and enjoying walks in the local area. Occasionally, some light household tasks such as laundry and cleaning will be needed. We are looking for someone who is kind, approachable and easy to get along with, with good spoken English and a genuine interest in supporting another person. Driver Preferred but not essential as the role will involve local trips and outings. Reliability, patience and a friendly personality are essential. The right person will be someone who is happy to offer practical support as well as good company, helping to make daily life more enjoyable and comfortable.
