The Opportunity: We are now looking for a motivated Quality Assurance / Health & Safety Manager to help promote a safe working environment whilst ensuring a quality final product is achieved for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity where you will play a key role in ensuring our folding carton packaging is manufactured to the highest standard. Whether you already have QA/HSE experience at management level, or are looking to take the step up, we would love to hear from candidates with confidence, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Making sure our final packaging product meets the company's high-quality standards by adhering to stringent internal and external policies.
- Ensuring industry specific legislation is met, along with detailed knowledge of our customers' market requirements.
- Promoting a safe working environment throughout our company, whilst ensuring productivity and efficiency is maintained.
- Ensuring that employees comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.
What We Are Looking For:
- The right person for the role can demonstrate good organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and team-building skills.
- A methodical and structured approach to documentation reporting.
Experience That Would Be Helpful:
- Knowledge from within a packaging industry would be very helpful.
- A similar role within the food or healthcare industry could be an advantage.
- Experience with BRCGS certification would offer a significant advantage.
- Understanding of FSC and/or PEFC certification would be of interest.
- A previous role within QA/HSE would be favourable; either at management level or at assistant level.
- Audit experience (internal and external) would provide confidence.
Some support and training could be provided to a candidate with some underlying knowledge, with the right attitude and ambition to progress.
