The Role

As part of our dynamic School, you will play a key role in enhancing nursing practice and strengthening the reputation of the School of Nursing, Allied and Public Health in the field of adult nursing care across all domains of practice. You will teach across the department, inspire students with your passion for education, and develop educational practice.
In addition to contributing to the pastoral care of students, you will be encouraged and supported to pursue your interests in research, enterprise, or professional practice. Our School celebrates equality, diversity, and inclusivity.
The Person
- Registered adult nurse with the NMC.
- Educated to at least degree level, with experience caring for adult patients.
- Enthusiastic, dynamic, and highly motivated.
- A passion for teaching and eagerness to share skills and expertise with future nursing workforce.
- A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Applicants currently working in clinical practice who are interested in gaining experience in academia are welcomed. Secondments will also be considered.
- Must meet Kingston University’s learning and teaching standards. By the end of probation you must achieve the relevant UKPSF recognition (through our accredited Introduction to Learning and Teaching programme for new lecturers or the Kingston Academic Practice Standards framework for experienced educators).

Additional Information
This is a part‑time (22.2 hours per week) permanent position. Starting salary of £27,015 per annum (60% pro‑rated to £45,025) for Lecturer and £30,096 per annum (60% pro‑rated to £50,160) for Senior Lecturer, depending on skills and experience.
