Overview
We are seeking an Education Liaison Adviser to join the Education Liaison and Outreach Team. Working in collaboration with colleagues in the team and across Kingston University, you will develop, deliver and evaluate a range of high‑quality activity focused on supporting groups underrepresented in Higher Education to access university, specifically those outlined in our Access and Participation Plan and Schools and Colleges Strategy.
Projects include subject specific activity and events, plus sustained activity working with target groups, that will be delivered to target schools, colleges and community groups on campus, at external sites (e.g. in school) or virtually. This role also involves developing and maintaining relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, including faculties, target institutions and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver and evaluate high‑quality outreach activity to support under‑represented groups in higher education.
- Plan and lead subject‑specific events and sustained engagement initiatives with target schools, colleges and community groups.
- Build and nurture relationships with faculties, target institutions, external partners and community organizations.
- Analyse data to evaluate the impact of projects in line with targets outlined in the Access and Participation Plan.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Represent the Education Liaison and Outreach Team at internal and external meetings and events.
Qualifications
- Degree level education or equivalent experience, preferably in higher education.
- Strong understanding of widening participation practice and the challenges faced by under‑represented student groups.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
- Demonstrable project management and organizational skills.
- Strong IT and analytical skills, with confidence interpreting data to measure impact.
