Kingston Barnes are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join a busy residential house-building project in Wells. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of a telescopic forklift, supporting site teams with the movement and distribution of materials across the development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a telescopic forklift (Telehandler) safely and efficiently on site.
- Loading, unloading and distributing materials to designated work areas.
- Assisting trades and subcontractors with material requests.
- Carrying out daily equipment checks and reporting any defects.
- Maintaining safe working practices in line with site health and safety regulations.
- Keeping storage areas organised and ensuring materials are handled correctly.
- Supporting general site operations when forklift duties are not required.
- Working closely with the Site Manager and site team to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler/Forklift ticket.
- Previous experience working on residential house-building developments.
- Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full PPE and own transport preferred.
Desirable:
- Experience working for national or regional house builders.
