Kingston Barnes are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join a busy residential house-building project in Wells. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of a telescopic forklift, supporting site teams with the movement and distribution of materials across the development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating a telescopic forklift (Telehandler) safely and efficiently on site.
  • Loading, unloading and distributing materials to designated work areas.
  • Assisting trades and subcontractors with material requests.
  • Carrying out daily equipment checks and reporting any defects.
  • Maintaining safe working practices in line with site health and safety regulations.
  • Keeping storage areas organised and ensuring materials are handled correctly.
  • Supporting general site operations when forklift duties are not required.
  • Working closely with the Site Manager and site team to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler/Forklift ticket.
  • Previous experience working on residential house-building developments.
  • Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full PPE and own transport preferred.

Desirable:

  • Experience working for national or regional house builders.
